Goodwin and McCreadie Earn Modified Wins, Powell, Lobdell Jr., Loucks, Searls are Also Fourth of July Winners at Thunder Mountain

CENTER LISLE, NY – Thunder Mountain Speedway celebrated the 250th Anniversary with a fantastic night of racing. PJ Goodwin held off Daniel Morgiewicz for the Dirt Track Digest TV Modified victory, while Jordan McCreadie outdueled Brandon Loucks to win the DIRTcar 358 Modified feature. Jerry Lobdell Jr., Loucks, Cameron Searls, and Luke Powell also found Victory Lane on Saturday.

Goodwin’s win in the Dirt Track Digest TV Modified 35-lap feature didn’t come without a fight. Goodwin took the lead on lap two but was challenged the entire way by Morgiewicz.

Goodwin moved to the top spot on lap two before Morgiewicz announced his presence in the opening stages. Goodwin worked the middle groove while Morgiewicz patiently searched the inside lane.

Morgiewicz edged ahead by a nose for the first time on lap 24, only for Goodwin to drive back by him. Five laps later, Morgiewicz again took the lead by inches at the start-finish line, but Goodwin regained the top spot one lap later.

Morgiewicz narrowly took the lead again on lap 29 before Goodwin answered once more. Goodwin went on to claim the victory, with Morgiewicz finishing second. Matt Smith was third, while Darren Smith charged from 18th to finish fourth. Alan Barker rebounded from an early race incident to round out the top five.

The 30-lap DIRTcar 358 Modified feature came down to a battle royale between Loucks and Jordan McCreadie. Loucks, who started second, worked the top side to grab the early advantage, while fifth-starting McCreadie steadily made his way forward.

By lap nine, the duo was battling side-by-side each lap. Loucks maintained the lead until lap 11 when McCreadie worked the bottom groove to take over the top spot. Two laps later, Loucks reclaimed the lead.

Lap 18 proved to be the deciding moment for McCreadie as he found speed on the inside lane through turns one and two to edge ahead of Loucks. It was a lead he would never surrender.

McCreadie went on to score another DIRTcar 358 Modified victory, with Loucks finishing runner-up. Jason Parkhurst Jr. made a successful invasion to finish third, while Hunter Hollenbeck impressed in his first Modified start by finishing fourth. Jamie Kamrowski completed the top five.

Luke Powell took command on lap eight and drove away to capture the 25-lap DIRTcar Sportsman Modified feature after starting third. Avery Decker crossed the stripe in second from the fifth starting position, while Cody Jackson charged from 11th to finish third. Jacob Waibel turned in one of the night’s best drives, advancing 19 positions from 23rd on the grid to claim fourth. Chris Clemens rounded out the top five after starting second.

Brandon Loucks put on an impressive charge through the field to win the 20-lap 600cc Modified feature after starting 15th to win his second in a row. Loucks worked his way past 14 competitors to earn the victory, while Tom Donahue also enjoyed a strong run from ninth on the grid to finish second. Adam Doll advanced from 13th to complete the podium in third, with Charles Lohmeyer climbing from 14th to fourth. Justin LaDue rounded out the top five after driving from the 12th starting spot, making it a race dominated by drivers who came from deep in the field.

Jerry Lobdell Jr. grabbed the lead in the early laps and never looked back, driving to victory in the 20-lap Factory Stocks feature after starting third. Brian Rhodes followed Lobdell across the finish line with a second-place effort from the fourth starting spot, while Buck Mills Jr. completed the podium after taking the green from second. Jason Rhodes turned in one of the race’s biggest charges, advancing from 14th to finish fourth, and Lukas Mills rounded out the top five after starting fifth.

Cameron Searls grabbed the lead on lap two and never relinquished it, racing to victory in the 20-lap 600cc Sprints feature after starting second. Zach Bobbett advanced from sixth to finish runner-up, while Mary Earley held strong for a third-place finish from the third starting spot. Alyssa Vanderpool gained three positions from seventh to fourth, and Tyler Catalano completed the top five after charging from the eighth starting position.
