CENTER LISLE, NY –  Jimmy Zacharias had just enough to get the job done Monday night in the Wade Decker Memorial at Thunder Mountain Speedway.

Zacharias inherited the lead when Danny Creeden was sidelined by mechanical issues and went on to take home the $5,000 victory. Scott Landers won the 25-lap A-Main for the CRSA Sprint Cars, while Justin LaDue captured the Hustle the Highway Series 600cc Modified main event. Jerry Lobdell Jr. was victorious in the Randy Decker Memorial Factory Stock feature.

Zacharias bolted into the lead from his pole starting position when the 50-lap feature got underway. He was strong early, showing the way before catching slower traffic on lap 15.

Once he entered traffic, Zacharias’ pace slowed, allowing Creeden to close the gap. Creeden made his move for the lead on lap 20, dropping Zacharias back to second.

Creeden was able to keep his No. 16X at the front as Zacharias chased him through traffic. Zacharias was never far off the back bumper of Creeden’s car.

It was all Creeden until lap 38, when he slowed on the backstretch to bring out the yellow flag. Zacharias inherited the top spot and took advantage of the opportunity.

Zacharias was perfect on the restart and led the rest of the way to pick up the win. Brandon Walters advanced from fifth to finish second, with Darren Smith following in third. Tommy Collins finished fourth, while Jordan Millard charged from 12th to complete the top five.

In the CRSA Sprint Cars A-Main, Scott Landers started from the outside of the front row and led the entire distance to score the 25-lap victory. Billy VanInwegen followed Landers across the finish line in second, while pole sitter Kyle Pierce settled for third. Shayne Spoonhower charged from 11th to finish fourth, with Timmy Lotz completing the top five.

Justin LaDue led from the second starting spot and raced to victory in the 20-lap 600cc Modified Hustle the Highway Series Feature after Brandon Loucks failed post race inspection for fuel pressure. Jared Green charged from eighth to finish a strong second, followed by Dustin Zimmer in third. Tom Donahue finished fourth after starting ninth, while Thomas Paige completed the top five. 

Jerry Lobdell Jr. powered his way to victory in the Randy Decker Memorial 40-lap feature for the Factory Stocks, leading from the pole and holding off a strong field to capture the checkered flag and a $1,500 check. Damon Decker charged forward from seventh to finish second, with Lanson Albanese rounding out the podium in third. Lukas Mills crossed the line fourth after starting ninth, while Jason Rhodes completed the top five. 

Thunder Mountain Speedway’s next event is Saturday, September 26 with the Mountain Madness featuring the Dirt Track Digest TV Modifieds. Also is the DIRTcar Sportsman, the Sam Usborne Memorial for the Hustle the Highway Series 600cc Modifieds paying $1,000, and 4 Cylinder Stocks.
