Higbie Scores First of the Year, Other Checkers go to Green, Roach, Lobdell Jr., Talada, and Forney
CENTER LISLE, NY – Cody Higbie hammered the high side to earn his first Dirt Track Digest TV Modified win of the 2026 season. Jared Green was back in victory lane in the DIRTcar Sportsman, while Michael Roach dominated the IMCA Modified feature. Jerry Lobdell Jr. made a late charge to win the Factory Stock feature. Ivan Forney used a lap 13 pass to pick up the 600 Sprint feature, and Tyler Talada dominated the 600cc Modified main event for the victory.
Rich Talada got the jump early in the Dirt Track Digest TV Modified feature from his pole starting position. Talada led the first four laps before a hard-charging Higbie took the lead on lap five, working his No. 97 around the extreme outside of the raceway.
While others tried to use the bottom, Higbie was busy working the wall through the corners to extend his advantage over the field. Tommy Collins also utilized the outside lane to move into the runner-up position on lap 13.
On lap 20, the only caution of the race gave everyone an opportunity to challenge Higbie for the top spot. When the race resumed, Higbie was not going to be denied on the outside. He went right back to the highest groove on the racetrack to keep his No. 97 out front.
While Higbie and Collins showed the way, Alan Barker charged forward from eighth to take over third on lap 27.
At the checkered flag, it was Higbie getting the job done with Collins finishing second. Barker came home third, with early leader Talada finishing fourth. Jimmy Zacharias drove forward from ninth to complete the top five.
Jared Green raced from the sixth starting spot to score the victory in the 25-lap DIRTcar Sportsman feature after taking the lead from Cooper Iannon on lap five. Once out front, Green controlled the remainder of the race to earn the win over Matt Brewer, who advanced from 10th to finish second. TJ Frost charged from 12th to complete the podium in third, while Cody Jackson made an impressive drive from 19th to fourth. Early leader Iannon rounded out the top five after pacing the opening four circuits.
Michael Roach led all 25 laps from the pole to capture the IMCA Modified feature in a nearly non-stop main event. Roach was never seriously challenged as he drove to the wire first, while Edward Sites charged from ninth on the starting grid to finish second. Rodney Morgan also made a strong run from 10th to third, with Jakub Ingham crossing the line fourth after starting fourth. Jake Maynard completed the top five with a drive from seventh.
Jerry Lobdell Jr. drove from the fifth starting position to win the 20-lap Factory Stocks feature after taking the lead from Buck Mills III on a lap 12 restart. Lobdell pulled away over the closing laps to secure the victory, while Jason Rhodes advanced from seventh to finish second. Shane Moshier crossed the line third after starting second, with Brian Rhodes making a strong charge from 10th to fourth. Mike Morse completed the top five after recovering from an early race incident.
Ivan Forney charged from the fourth starting spot to capture the 20-lap 600cc Sprint feature after taking the lead from Dylan Randall on lap 13. Forney led the final eight circuits to earn the victory, while Kyle Pierce advanced from eighth to finish second. Zach Bobbett also made up ground from seventh to claim third, with early leader Randall settling for fourth after starting second. Wayne Stella Jr. completed the top five.
Tyler Talada led all 20 laps from the fourth starting position to score the victory in a caution-filled 600cc Modified feature. Talada maintained control through multiple restarts to secure the win, while Jared Green charged from 14th to finish second. Brandon Loucks made an impressive drive from 16th to complete the podium in third, with Liam Zacharias finishing fourth after starting third. Talan Oliver advanced from 10th to round out the top five.
