Creeden Claims the Modified Main at the Monster Bash on the Mountain
CENTER LISLE, NY – Over 100 cars were pit side for Day two of the Monster Bash on the Mountain on Saturday afternoon at the Thunder Mountain Speedway.
On a crisp wind-swept afternoon, Danny Creeden claimed the Stafursky Paving Modified feature event. Jordan Millard claimed the Speedsport1 Sportsman events.
Millard, who set fast time on Friday night, came from his seventh starting spot to claim the 30-lap $2,000 to win Speedsport1 Sportsman feature. Finished second was Cody Manitta. Matt Brewer finished in third, with Tyler Corcoran in fourth. Rounding out the top five was Travis Green. Heat races for the Speedsport1 Sportsman were won by Jamie Kamrowski, Ray Leonard, Brewer, and Corcoran. Stephen Winsor and Tres Palmer won the twin consolations.
Danny Creeden survived three green-white checkered attempts at the finish to win the $4,000 Stafursky Paving Modified Feature at the Monster Bash on the Mountain. Pole starter Creeden went wire to wire to claim the 40-lap race. Tim Sears was second, Alan Fink was third, Cody Higbie finished fourth, and track champion Darren Smith rounded out the top five.
Stafursky Modified Heat Races were won by Alan Fink, Eric Leet, Willy Decker, and Higbie. Zach Payne won the 12-lap consi with Sean Beardsley winning the 10-lap “Last Call” and electing to start the race in the 25th position.
In the Eagle Ridge Construction 600cc Modified feature, Tyler Talada came from the 22nd starting position to claim the 40-lap $1,500 to win feature event. Finishing second was Friday night winner Ali Scutt. Jake Waibel was third, Tommy Paige was fourth, and Aiden Miller rounded out the top give.
Butch Green, Justin LaDue, and Scutt claimed the three heat races for the Eagle Ridge Construction 600cc Modifieds.
For the Vintage Modified Open, Jack Miller won the Modifieds, and Jipp Ortiz claimed the Sportsman. Dan Karl won the Mystique, and Jimmy Fugel claimed the Antique feature.
