CENTER LISLE, NY – Event times for the 3rd annual Monster Bash on the Mountain at Thunder Mountain Speedway have been set, and the Candy Crawl through the pits is back!

On Friday, the pit gates will open at 3:00 p.m., followed by spectator gates at 5:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will take place at 5:30 p.m., hot laps will begin at 6:00 p.m., and the first heat will take the green flag at 7:00 p.m. sharp.

On Saturday afternoon, the pits will open at 8:30 a.m., with the draw for qualifying starting spots closing at 11:30 a.m. All cars are asked to arrive at Thunder Mountain by 11:30 a.m.

At 11:45 a.m., the pits will open for the ghosts and goblins in attendance to trick-or-treat. Pit crews are asked to bring candy, and fans who wish to participate can set up along the midway with their treats. The drivers meeting will begin at 12:30 p.m., with hot laps starting at 1:00 p.m. The first heat will take the green flag at 2:00 p.m.

To ensure that those attending to watch the Stafursky Paving 40-lap Modified feature can get an early start home, the event is scheduled to run at 4:00 p.m. The program will be structured to complete all Modified qualifying first, with the feature slotted to start at 4:00 p.m., depending on the schedule.

Night one of the Monster Bash on the Mountain will feature a 25-lap contest for the NY Penn IMCA Modified Series. The race will be the 4th annual Billy Ward Memorial, sponsored by Patriot Tank Lines.

The Hustling the Highway Series for 600cc Modifieds will conclude its season with the Eagle Ridge Construction-sponsored, $2,000-to-win, 40-lap feature. The race will crown the series champion. Chuck Lohmeyer is the current point leader, with TJ Smith within striking distance.

JC Rockwell Roofing will present a 20-lap contest for the 600cc Winged Sprints. Also on the card is the 20-lap Chad Sindoni Memorial for Factory Stocks, supported by Graydon Contractors.

Modified and Sportsman drivers will have the opportunity to run timed hot laps, with the fastest competitor in each of the two sessions advancing directly to the feature-event redraw on Saturday. Northeast Racing Expo is offering $100 to the fastest Modified driver in each session and $50 to the fastest Sportsman driver.

Saturday afternoon’s program will feature the 40-lap, $4,000-to-win Stafursky Paving Modified feature. The Speedsport 1 Sportsman will compete in a $2,000-to-win, 30-lap feature.

The NY Penn IMCA Modifieds will compete in the 2nd annual, 30-lap Ed and Jan Billings Classic, supported by 71 Speed and Design. The race will pay $3,116 to the winner and crown the champion of the NY Penn IMCA Modifieds’ season-long series.

The 600cc Modifieds will compete in a 20-lap, $1,000-to-win feature sponsored by Showdown in the Sunshine State for Dirt Modifieds in February.

All divisions will compete in qualifying heats and consolation races, if necessary, with the IMCA Modifieds also participating in a six-lap dash. Vintage Modifieds, Sportsman, and Antiques and Mystique will compete in twin 20-lap features for the Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modified Series.

Modified heats on Saturday will pay $100 to win, thanks to Bill Brown and Company. Sportsman heats and consolation races will pay $75 to win, courtesy of the Mallett family.

In addition to the 12-lap consolation race, the Modifieds will run an additional 10-lap Last Call race, with the winner starting 25th in the 40-lap feature. The first non-qualifier will receive $100 in memory of Art Lentini Jr., and all non-qualifiers will receive $75 in tow money, sponsored by Smith Site Development.

Last year, Johnstown, NY’s Rocky Warner took home the top prize despite Mother Nature forcing the originally scheduled two-day show to be condensed into a single day. The event attracted more than 190 cars to Thunder Mountain Speedway.

All divisions will race on Hoosier tires and follow Thunder Mountain’s weekly rules, with the exception of the Factory Stocks. Factory Stocks will race on DOT tires and follow their home-track rules.

Thunder Mountain Speedway offers free camping, with no electric or water hookups available.
