Sponsors New and Old Increase Monster Bash Payouts – Spots Remain for Monster Cash at the Monster Bash

CENTER LISLE, NY – The Second Annual Monster Bash on the Mountain is excited to announce that nearly every sponsor from 2024 will be returning for the 2025 edition. Additionally, J Gordon Contracting LLC has come on board to support the 600cc Sprints, while the newest division to join the Monster Bash lineup—the NY Penn IMCA Modifieds—will be presented by MJH Oilfield Services.

Friday, October 31: Big Money Races Kick Off the Weekend

Friday evening will feature a 40-lap Hustling the Highway Series race for the 600cc Modifieds, sponsored by Eagle Ridge Construction, paying $2,000 to win. The 600cc Winged Sprints, supported by J Gordon Contracting LLC, will run a 20-lap event paying $500 to win and $100 for 10th place.

The Chad Sindoni Memorial Factory Stocks race will pay $1,500 to win and $100 to start for the 40-lap contest.

The 30-lap NY Penn IMCA Ed and Jan Billings Classic, presented by MJH Oilfield Services, will pay $3,016 to win and $200 to start.

Modified and Sportsman drivers will each run two timed hot lap sessions on Friday. The fastest driver in each session will secure a spot in Saturday’s redraw, bypassing the heat race. Speed 71 and Design will award $100 to the second-fastest car in each session for both the Sportsman and Modified divisions, with an additional $100 wild card prize to be awarded. At the end of the night, the track will open for additional Modified and Sportsman practice.

Saturday, November 1: Modifieds Take Center Stage

Stafursky Paving returns as the title sponsor for the Modified division, which will headline Saturday afternoon’s program with a 40-lap feature paying $4,000 to win and a minimum of $450 to start. Each heat winner will receive $50 from Bill Brown and Company. An anonymous sponsor has again committed to paying $75 in tow money to every Modified driver who fails to qualify.

The Speed Sport 1 Sportsman feature will pay $2,000 to win and $225 to start (minimum). Randy and Sandy have added $100 to each Sportsman heat win, with an additional $50 awarded to each consolation winner.

Fans unable to attend in person can watch from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. on www.speedsport1.com for free. The full Saturday program will be available via pay-per-view on Dirt Track Digest TV (www.dirtrackdigest.tv).

Speed Sport 1 is available on Pluto TV, Freevee (Amazon Prime), Sling, Sports.TV, Fubo.TV, LocalNow.tv, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and on mobile via the Speed Sport 1 app.

The Eagle Ridge 600cc Modifieds will also return on Saturday with a 25-lap feature paying $1,000 to win. The Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modified Series will round out the afternoon’s racing card.

A Growing Tradition

“I’m happy that most of our great partners from 2024—Stafursky Paving, Speed Sport 1, and Eagle Ridge Construction—have returned to support the Monster Bash on the Mountain,” said co-promoter Mike Mallett. “With MJH Oilfield Services and J Gordon Contracting now sponsoring the IMCA Modifieds and 600cc Sprints, we’re putting even more money in the racers’ pockets.”

In 2024, the Monster Bash on the Mountain featured the highest car count in the Northeast for that weekend in both the Stafursky Paving Modifieds and the Speed Sport 1 Sportsman divisions. Over 200 cars participated, and more than $40,000 was awarded in cash and contingencies during the fast-paced, two-day event.

Family Fun: Candy Crawl & Halloween Contest

Before racing begins Friday, kids can enjoy The Candy Crawl Through the Pits—a chance to collect Halloween treats from Friday night competitors. A costume contest will also be held during intermission. For more details on these festivities, follow Thunder Mountain Speedway on social media.

Tires, Rules & Schedule

All divisions will run on Hoosier tires under Thunder Mountain’s weekly rules, with the exception of Factory Stocks, which will compete on DOT tires under home track rules.

  • Friday Racing begins at 7:00 PM
  • Saturday Racing begins at 2:00 PM
  • Free camping is available all weekend (no water or electric hookups)

Monster Cash Program – Spots Still Available!

Spots are still available for Monster Cash at the Monster Bash at $250 per spot. Fans and business can purchase a spot and your name will be mentioned on social media, in press releases, as well on the pa during the event. Each purchased spot is randomly assigned a starting position in the Stafursky Modified feature. After the race, the winner of the $4,000 first-place prize will draw three starting positions to award bonus cash to the sponsor of that position:

  • 1st drawn: $1,500
  • 2nd drawn: $750
  • 3rd drawn: $350

Sponsors have a 1 and 8 chance of winner. The rest of the proceeds from the Monster Cash program go directly back to the racers.
