CENTER LISLE, NY – Monster Bash in the Mountains Gears Up for 2nd Annual Event at Thunder Mountain Speedway
With the 2nd Annual Monster Bash in the Mountains at Thunder Mountain Speedway just over two weeks away, excitement is building across the tri-state racing community.
Any driver in any division who comments on the Thunder Mountain Speedway on Facebook or sends a message to the speedway with their intentions to race on October 31st and November 1st will be entered to win a free pit pass for either Friday evening or Saturday afternoon’s program. NY Penn IMCA Modified drivers should continue to contact Jake Maynard regarding the Ed and Jan Billings IMCA Modified Classic.
Additionally, any non-qualifier from the Hustle the Highway 40-lap 600cc Modified feature who does not qualify will receive a free pit pass to the recently renamed Saturday 600cc program — now the Sam Usborne Memorial 39-lap feature, paying $1,039 to win. Usborne, a former 600cc competitor, recently passed away and will be honored during the event.
In addition to tagging Thunder Mountain Speedway on Facebook, drivers can also contact Mike Mallett or the Thunder Mountain Speedway office directly.
The 2025 Monster Bash in the Mountains will officially close out the 2025 dirt racing season in New York State.
“This race started as an event to close out the Thunder Mountain season, and it has really grown,” said co-promoter Mike Mallett. “Thanks to all our great sponsors, and with the NY Penn IMCA Modifieds and 600cc Modifieds from the Hustle the Highway Series, this weekend is becoming a destination event for fans and drivers alike.”
Halloween Festivities
Prior to the start of Friday’s program, there will be a Candy Crawl through the pits, giving youngsters the chance to collect treats from Friday night competitors. A Halloween costume contest will also take place during intermission. Fans are encouraged to follow Thunder Mountain Speedway’s social media for additional details on the Halloween fun planned during the Monster Bash.
