Rocky  Warner Claims the 2nd Annual Monster Bash on the Mountain – 190 Cars Fill the Pit Area

CENTER LISLE, NY – What was originally scheduled to be a two-day weekend was condensed into one, with the running of the 2nd Annual Monster Bash on the Mountain. A total of 189 cars filled the Center Lisle pit area, infield, and access roads for a five-division show.

Rocky Warner of Johnstown, NY, claimed the Stafursky Paving Modified 40-lap main, racing from the 7th starting position to score the $4,000 victory. Warner passed Owego, NY’s Jimmy Zacharias on lap 11 and never looked back. Finishing second was sixth-starting Danny Tyler of Cottlekill, NY, with Brandon Loucks of Bainbridge, NY, finishing third after starting fourth. Ninth-starting Ryan Susice of Wilson, NY, came home fourth, while third-starting Matt Smith of Whitney Point, NY, rounded out the top five.

Heat races for the 38 Modifieds were claimed by Nick Nye, Warner, Seth Zacharias, and Jimmy Zacharias. The consolation event was won by Tommy Collins, with Gordon Smith claiming the 10-lap non-qualifiers’ race and earning a spot in the main event.

The 30-lap Ed and Jan Billings IMCA Modified Classic, presented by MJH Oil Field Services and the Billings/Howard family, was claimed by Charles Fulton of Rome, PA. The event paid $3,016 to win. Second went to third-starting Keith Lamphere of Monroeton, PA, while Brad Sites, also from Monroeton, finished third from his outside front-row starting spot. Twelfth-starting Tyler Belcher of Laceyville, PA, finished fourth, with seventh-starting Randall Paxton of Factoryville, PA, rounding out the top five.

Heat races for the 27 IMCA Modifieds were won by Sites, Fulton, and Rich Green. Keith Lamphere was crowned the NY Penn IMCA Modified Series Champion. Fulton also captured the Taylor Spoonhower Billings Classic Dash 4 Cash.

In the Sam Usborne Memorial 39-lap Hustling the Highway 600 Series, Charlie Lohmeyer of Binghamton, NY, charged from the fourth starting position to claim the $2,000 victory. Aiden Miller of Athens, PA, stormed from 15th to finish second. Eighth-starting Anthony Desimone of Liverpool, NY, finished third, with second-starting Justin Ladue of Berkshire, NY, in fourth. Jacob Waibel of Endicott, NY, raced from 22nd to round out the top five.

Heat races for the 35 Eagle Ridge Construction Hustling the Highway Series 600cc Modifieds were won by Owen Mossow (Hastings, NY), Justin Ladue, Logan Ladue (Richford, NY), and Desimone. The B-Main was captured by Talan Oliver of Norwich, NY. T.J. Smith was crowned the 2025 Hustling the Highway 600 Series Champion.

Hunter Hollenbeck of Fulton, NY, dominated from the pole to claim the $2,000 victory in the 30-lap Speed Sport One DIRTcar Sportsman Feature. Tenth-starting Cody Manitta of Cato, NY, finished second. David Hackett of Baldwinsville, NY, advanced from seventh to finish third. Richard Murtaugh of Fulton, NY, came from 17th to finish fourth, with Justin Miller of Bloomingburg, NY, rounding out the top five after starting twelfth.

Heat races for the 44 DIRTcar Sportsman were won by Hollenbeck, Hackett, Randy Brokaw (Freeville, NY), and Travis Green (Wallkill, NY). The twin consolation events were claimed by Chris Clemens of Waverly, NY, and Tony Finch of Pennellville, NY.

In the Chad Sindoni Memorial 40-lap Factory Stocks, second-starting Rich Green of Ulster, PA, took home the win. Pole-starter Earl Zimmer of Newark Valley, NY, finished second, followed by sixth-starting Harry Marvin of Kirkwood, NY, in third. Fifteenth-starting Jason Rhodes of Berkshire, NY, placed fourth, with twelfth-starting Nick Robinson of Waverly, NY, rounding out the top five.

Heat races for the 18 Factory Stocks were won by Green and Zimmer.

In the Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modified Series, the Twin 20s for Modifieds and Sportsman were won by Andy Graves and Jipp Ortiz. The second 20-lapper for Mystiques and Antiques was claimed by Harry Baldwin and Chris Pedro.
