Monster Cash for the Monster Bash Program Announced

CENTER LISLE, NY – Looking for an opportunity to help local Stafursky Paving Modified and Speedsport One Sportsman racers and have an opportunity to win cash?

Introducing Monster Cash for the Monster Bash, a contingency program for Thunder Mountain Speedway’s 2nd Annual Monster Bash on the Mountain to be raced on October 31st and November 1st.

There will be 26 chances available at a cost of $250 per spot.  A starting spot will be randomly assigned to each person that purchases a spot.  At the conclusion of the Stafursky Modified feature event, the winner of the $4,000 first place prize will draw three starting positions that represent a sponsored starting spot.  The first spot starting spot drawn will win $1,500, the second starting spot drawn will win $750, the third starting spot winning $350.

Money from each of those spots will be put into the Stafursky Modified and SpeedSport One Sportsman feature event purses.  The Modifieds will now pay a minimum of $450 to start, with the Sportsman paying a minimum of $225 to start.

“I was looking for a way to give back even more to the racers that weekend while also helping those that are supporting the second annual Monster Bash on the Mountain event,” said Co-Promoter Mike Mallett of Monster Cash at the Monster Bash program.

Those that purchase a finishing position will have exposure through the various Thunder Mountain social media outlets, the Monster Bash on the Mountain webpage and numerous public address announcements throughout the Monster Bash on the Mountain weekend at the Thunder Mountain Speedway. Those looking to purchase a ticket for the program can message the Thunder Mountain Speedway Facebook page or email MikeMalett@DirtTrackDigest.com.

The 2024 version of the Monster Bash on the Mountain featured the highest car count in the Northeast for that weekend in the Stafursky Paving Modifieds and the Speedsport1 Sportsman divisions.  Over 200 cars participated and more than $40,000 was paid out in cash and contingencies in a fast paced well run event over the two days.

Friday evening October 31st, will feature a 40 lap Hustling the Highway Series race for the 600cc Modifieds that will be sponsored by Eagle Ridge Construction and pay $2,000 to win.   The J Gordon Contracting 600cc Winged Sprints will race 20-laps $500 to win.  The Chad Sindoni Memorial Factory Stocks race will be $1,500 to win $100 to start the 40-lap contest.  The IMCA Modifieds have been added to the Monster Bash on the Mountain, racing in the 30-Lap Ed and Jan Billings Memorial, paying $3,016 to win and $200 to start.  Modifieds and Sportsman will run two timed hot lap sessions, with the fastest driver in each session earning a spot in the Saturday redraw, thus bypassing racing a heat race.  At the conclusion of the night the track will be open to the Modified and Sportsman competitors for additional practice.

Prior to the start of the Friday program, there will be The Candy Crawl through the Pits.  An opportunity for youngsters to collect treats from the Friday night competitors.   A Halloween Costume contest will also take place at Intermission.  Please follow Thunder Mountain social media for more information on the Halloween festivities at the Monster Bash on the Mountain.

The Stafursky Paving Modifieds will take center stage on Saturday afternoon, November 1st in a 40-lap feature paying $4,000 to win and a minimum of $450 to start.  $2,000 to win and $225 to start minimum will be the payout for the 20-lap Speedsport One Sportsman feature.  The Eagle Ridge 600cc Modifieds will race in a 25-lap $1,000 to win race.  The Mohawk Valley Vintage Modified Series will also be on the event card.

All divisions will race on Hoosier tires following the weekly Thunder Mountain rules, the exception being the Factory Stocks.  Factory Stocks will race on DOT tires and use home track rules.
