Loucks Wins his Second, MIllard, Smith, Beebe, Lamphere, and Bobbett Take Checkers at Thunder Mountain

CENTER LISLE, NY — Brandon Loucks loved the high side on Saturday night at Thunder Mountain Speedway. He worked the top groove to drive from ninth to victory in the Dirt Track Digest TV Modified main event.
Other winners included Mikey Smith in the CRSA Sprint Cars, Jordan Millard in the DIRTcar Sportsman, Keith Lamphere in the IMCA Modifieds, Chelsie Beebe in the 600cc Modifieds, and Zach Bobbett in the 600 Sprints.
Brandon Loucks powered his No. 23 machine to a thrilling victory in the 35-lap Modified main event, charging from the ninth starting position to capture the win in dramatic fashion. The early stages of the race were controlled by Ajay Potrzebowski II, who launched from the second spot and took the lead at the drop of the green. Potrzebowski set a blistering pace up front, navigating traffic with precision as the laps clicked off.
However, things began to tighten up by lap 17 as the leaders encountered heavy lapped traffic. That’s when Loucks made his move. Running the high side through turns three and four, he carried momentum around the outside and surged past Potrzebowski to take the top spot. The bold move proved to be the race-winning pass, as Loucks never looked back, fending off late-race pressure to seal the victory.
Behind him, Brett Tonkin brought the No. 9BT home in second after a strong run from the fourth starting spot. Potrzebowski, after leading early, settled for a hard-fought third in the No. 72K. Brian Malcolm and Darren Smith rounded out the top five, finishing fourth and fifth respectively, with Smith making a solid drive forward from 11th.
In the DIRTcar Sportsman feature, Jordan Millard stormed through the field from the 11th starting position to capture a thrilling win in the 25-lap main event. With precise moves and relentless pace, Millard outlasted a competitive lineup to take the top spot ahead of Luke Powell, who made a strong push from seventh to finish second. Will Eastman secured third after a steady drive from sixth, while Cody Jackson and Alan Komar rounded out the top five.
Mikey Smith charged to victory in the 25-lap CRSA Sprint Car feature, taking the checkered flag in the No. 4ST after starting from the fourth position. It was his first win in the division. Billy VanInwegen Jr., who started on the front row and led early, held steady to finish second in the No. 56V. Dillon Paddock made a strong run from sixth to claim third in the No. 8, followed closely by Jordan Hutton in the No. 66, who finished fourth. The standout drive of the night came from Johnny Smith, who stormed through the field from 22nd to finish an impressive fifth.
Keith Lamphere delivered a masterclass in the 25-lap IMCA Modified feature, wheeling the No. 98K from the 10th starting position to claim the win in spectacular fashion. Tyler Belcher, who started on the front row in the No. 7B, held strong to finish second after leading early. Aaron Benjamin brought the No. 5 machine home in third after a solid run from fourth. One of the most impressive charges of the night came from Tyler Stoddard, who powered his No. 23 car from 14th to finish fourth. Rounding out the top five was Michael Wilcox Jr., who maintained a competitive pace in the No. 10W after starting fifth.
Chelsie Beebe captured her first win of the season in commanding fashion, driving the No. 17C to victory in the 20-lap 600cc Modified feature after starting third. Beebe showed poise and speed, holding off a hard-charging Adam Doll, who stormed through the field from 10th to finish second in the No. 49. Tyler Talada delivered one of the most impressive drives of the night, slicing his way from 16th to a well-earned third-place finish in the No. 80. Casey Doll kept the No. 94 in the mix throughout the race to finish fourth, while Justin LaDue rounded out the top five in the No. 99L after starting seventh.
Zach Bobbett delivered a dominant performance in the 20-lap 600 Sprint feature, taking the lead on lap 3 and never looking back in the No. 99Z. Starting fifth, Bobbett quickly surged to the front and put on a clinic, lapping up to third place by the time the checkered flag waved. Ivan Forney brought the No. 7F home in second after a solid run from the fourth starting spot, while Cliff Pierce finished third in the No. 55, despite being one of the few cars to stay on the lead lap. Billy Applebee crossed the line fourth in the No. 11, followed by polesitter Charles Bruce, who rounded out the top five in the No. 73.
