It is time for the Monster Bash on the Mountain!
CENTER LISLE, NY – The 2nd Annual Monster Bash on the Mountain takes place this Friday and Saturday at the Thunder Mountain Speedway.
What will be a jammed pack weekend of racing, kicks off on Friday evening October 31st with a $2,000 to win 40-lap Hustle the Highway Series race for the 600cc Modifieds sponsored by Eagle Ridge Construction. The J Gordon Contracting LLC 600cc Winged Sprints will have a 20-lap race that pays $500 to win and $100 for tenth. The 40-lap Graydon Excavating Chad Sindoni Memorial Factory Stocks race will be $1,500 to win with $100 to start. The NY Penn IMCA Modifieds round out the card with the 30-Lap Ed and Jan Billings Classic presented by MJH Oil Fields Service paying a record $3,016 for the NY Penn IMCA series.
For the 600cc Modifieds and the IMCA Modifieds the features races will end the year long chase for the point championship. Should there be inclement weather on Friday, these two races will be run on Saturday.
Prior to the start of the Friday program, there will be The Candy Crawl through the Pits Trunk or Treat event. Starting at 5:00PM and going to 6:00PM youngsters will be able to collect treats from the Friday night competitors and spectators. Set up will be from 4:15PM – 4:50PM A Halloween Costume contest will also take place at Intermission.
Modifieds and Sportsman will run two timed hot lap sessions on Friday, with the fastest driver in each session earning a spot in the Saturday redraw, thus bypassing racing a heat race. Speed71 and Design will be presenting $100 to the second fastest in each session for the Sportsman and the Modifieds, with an additional $100 wild card to be awarded. At the conclusion of the night the track will be open to the Modified and Sportsman competitors for additional practice.
The first two hours of Friday’s racing will be broadcast live on the Speedsport 1 network.

Pit Gates open at 4:00PM, Spectator Gates at 5:00 with driversJ meeting at 6:05 and warmups starting at 6:20. The first heat starts promptly at 7:00PM.
Stafursky Paving Modifieds take center stage on Saturday afternoon, November 1st in a 40-lap feature paying $4,000 to win and a minimum of $450 to start. $2,000 to win and $225 to start minimum will be the payout for the 30-lap Speedsport 1 Sportsman feature. The Eagle Ridge 600cc Modifieds will race in a 39-lap Sam Upton Memorial paying $1,039 to win. The Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modified Series round out the Saturday afternoon card with twin-twenties.
Pit gates open at 10:00AM, Spectator gates at 11:00AM. Drivers Meeting at 12:30 with hot laps at 1:00. The first heat will go green at 2:00PM..
The 2025 Monster Bash in the Mountain at Thunder Mountain Speedway will bring down the curtain on the 2025 dirt racing season in New York State.

A starting spot will be randomly assigned to each person that purchases a spot. At the conclusion of the Stafursky Modified feature event, the winner of the $4,000 first place prize will draw three starting positions that represent a sponsored starting spot. The first starting spot drawn will win $1,500, the second starting spot drawn will win $750, the third starting spot winning $350. You have a little over 1 in 8 chances of winning a minimum of $100 for your $250 dollar investment.

The 2024 version of the Monster Bash on the Mountain featured the highest car count in the Northeast for that weekend in the Stafursky Paving Modifieds and the Speedsport 1 Sportsman divisions. Over 200 cars participated and more than $40,000 was paid out in cash and contingencies in a fast paced well run event over the two days. Higher car counts and increased payouts are anticipated for the 2nd Annual Monster Bash on the Mountain event!
All divisions will race on Hoosier tires following the weekly Thunder Mountain rules, the exception being the Factory Stocks. Factory Stocks will race on DOT tires and use home track rules.
The Modified weight rules is 2,400 for all engine combinations except DIRTcar legal 358 Modified competitors who can weigh in at 2,350. They may also run sail panels.
For those unable to attend in person, all the races will be available via the streaming service www.dirttrackdigest.tv.
Free Camping for the weekend will be available, with no electric or water.
