The Jan Cocoran Memorial weekend, which kicks off the racing season at Thunder Mountain Speedway on Friday, April 18, and Saturday, April 19, is rapidly gaining momentum.

With $3,200 already up for grabs for the winning drivers in the Modified and Sportsman divisions during Saturday night’s finale, Dot Foods has signed on as the presenting sponsor for the weekend’s events. Several additional contingency sponsors have also joined the lineup.

Racing on Friday night is scheduled for 7 p.m. with hot laps hitting the track at 6 p.m. Pit gates open at 3 p.m. with grandstand gates opening at 4 p.m. Pits are $40, and grandstands are $15 for adults, $13 for seniors, veterans, and kids ages 10 to 17. Nine and under are free.

Saturday night’s program goes green at 4 p.m. with hot laps scheduled for 3 p.m. Pit gates open at 1 p.m. with grandstands at 2 p.m. Pits are $45. Grandstand admission is set at $25 for adults, $22 for seniors, veterans, and kids ages 10 to 17. Nine and under are free.
