Thunder Mountain to Close Southern Tier Season with The Monster Bash on the Mountain!

CENTER LISLE, NY – There have been plenty of people asking for one more race on the Mountain. You asked for it, and now you’ve got it!

The Thunder Mountain Speedway is excited to announce the Monster Bash on the Mountain.  The event will span two days: Friday evening November 1st and Saturday afternoon November 2nd.

The event will bring a close to racing on the Southern Tier of New York for the 2024 season.

Seven divisions will be featured over the two days. Modified, Sportsman, 600cc Modified, 600cc Sprint, Factory Stock, 4-Cylinder, and a Vintage Modified Open.

The Monster Bash on the Mountain will open on Friday evening with 600cc Modifieds, 600cc Sprints, Factory Stocks, and 4-Cylinders.  The Modified and Sportsman cars will participate in practice. The fastest timer in each division will be guaranteed a starting position in Saturday’s feature event. More details will be released in the coming weeks. Racing will start at 7:00 PM on Friday.

Day two of the Monster Bash on the Mountain will find the Modifieds and Sportsman taking center stage. With a 40-lap feature for Modifieds paying $4,000 to win. The Sportsman will race in a 30-lap contest, paying $2,000 to win. The 600cc Modifieds will be back to race for a $1,000 win in a 25-lap affair. Rounding out the card will be a Vintage Modified Open.  The exciting action starts at 2:00 PM on Saturday.

At the conclusion of Friday’s racing, there will be a bonfire and music to celebrate the winners of the Monster Bash preliminary night on the Mountain.

Thunder Mountain Speedway rules apply for all divisions.

Friday evening it will be $15 for the stands. Seniors and Students are $13 and $40 for the pits, with Saturday’s racing action being $25 for the stands, Seniors and Students are $22, and $45 for the pits.

Weekly Thunder Mountain Speedway rules will be followed for all divisions with the utilization of Hoosier Racing Tires.
