Excitement Building for the Monster Bash on the Mountain—November 1st and 2nd

CENTER LISLE, NY – With last week’s announcement of the Monster Bash on the Mountain at Thunder Mountain Speedway, interest and excitement are building. The speedway has been fielding calls and answering emails from drivers and fans that are interested in racing and watching the final race of the year for the Southern Tier of New York.

Thanks to the generous support of Archbald PA’s Stafursky Paving Company, Inc., the 40-lap Stafursky Paving Modified feature is now going to pay a minimum of $350 to start.

ERK Steering Components, Penn Grove, NJ, will be providing a $50 gift certificate toward a steering rebuild to the winner of each Sportsman and Modified heat race and the winners of the Stafursky Paving 40-lap Modified Feature and 30-lap Sportsman feature.

Ridge NY’s Eagle Ridge Construction will allow the 600cc Modified Heats on Friday and Saturday to pay $50.00.

Racing will open on Friday evening with 20-lap features for the 600cc Modifieds, 600cc Sprints, and 4-Cylinders.  The Factory Stocks will race 25 laps. The Modified and Sportsman cars will participate in practice. The fastest timer in each division will be guaranteed a starting position in Saturday’s feature event. Racing will start at 7:00 PM on Friday.

Day two of the Monster Bash on the Mountain will find the Stafursky Paving Modifieds and Sportsman taking center stage. With a 40-lap feature for Modifieds paying $4,000 to win and a minimum of $350 to start. The Sportsman will race in a 30-lap contest, paying $2,000 to win and a minimum of $200 to start. The 600cc Modifieds will be back to race for a $1,000 win in a 25-lap affair. Rounding out the card will be a Vintage Modified Open. The exciting action starts at 2:00 PM on Saturday.

At the conclusion of Friday’s racing, there will be a bonfire and music to celebrate the winners of the preliminary night features of the Monster Bash on the Mountain.

Friday evening it will be $15 for the stands. Seniors and Students are $13 and $40 for the pits, with Saturday’s racing action being $25 for the stands, Seniors and Students are $22 and $45 for the pits.

Weekly Thunder Mountain Speedway rules will be followed for all divisions with the utilization of Hoosier Racing Tires.
